Take a real 0% APR, refuse deferred interest. GE offers 0% through Affirm. A store plan reading "no interest if paid in full" is the other kind: miss the deadline and you owe interest back to day one. 1 9

The Home Depot 2 12 — — Deepest single-unit cuts anyone reported this week: a Samsung fridge at 45% off, an LG dishwasher at 35%, a Samsung washer at 33%. Free delivery over $998, and $250 to $400 more per category if you buy several. This sale ends September 9, a week ahead of LG and P.C. Richard. Both that date and the prices above come from deal trackers, not from us: Home Depot blocks our checks, so we could not confirm either on the day you read this.
P.C. Richard & Son 5 — — The only price protection we could verify anywhere. Find a competitor advertising the identical in-stock item cheaper within 30 days and they refund the full difference. Labor Day runs to September 16 at up to 40% off, plus up to 20% more on anything $698 or over. A regional chain, mostly Northeast, so delivery may not reach you. The price match wants a written advertised price on an identical new in-stock item, which rules out most marketplace listings. We have a partnership with this chain but its network stopped tracking orders on August 19, 2026, so we pay no cashback here and have not linked it.
LG 3 — — Buying direct from the maker gets you 30% to 50% off the top deals, valid through September 16. That is a week longer than Home Depot, so it is the sensible fallback if you miss the big-box cutoff. The 30 to 50% applies to what LG calls its top deals, not the catalogue. We could not find delivery, installation or return terms anywhere on the promotions page, so ask before you order rather than assume.
Samsung 4 — — Built for a whole-kitchen replacement. Two items takes $100 off, four takes $400, eight or more takes $1,000, stacked on top of the sale price. Runs to September 30, the latest deadline on this page. Everything has to go through in one transaction, and it is one redemption per household. The tiers also count TVs and monitors, which is generous, but it means the bundle you plan may not be the bundle that maximises the discount.
GE Appliances 1 — LABORDAY 10% off plus free shipping, refrigerator and household water filters only. 1 LABOR26 15% off plus free shipping on parts and accessories. 1 CLEANAIR 30% off furnace filters. 1 Up to $1,400 off refrigerators and wall ovens, $700 off ranges, $550 off laundry, $450 off dishwashers, running since August 27. Financing is genuine 0% APR for up to 24 months through Affirm, not a deferred-interest trap. Read this twice: free returns on a major appliance last seven days after delivery. Small appliances get 60. Seven days is barely one laundry cycle and one grocery run, so unbox and test the day it lands.
De'Longhi 10 4% ◆ — Not a fridge seller. This is espresso machines, drip coffee makers, grinders, toaster and convection ovens, slow cookers and space heaters. Free shipping over $40, a three-year warranty included, and Klarna splits payment three ways interest-free. We found no Labor Day sale on the site. The only discount on the page is 10% off for joining the mailing list, and we hold no code for this brand. If you want an espresso machine cheap, this is not the week.
TheDryAir 11 10% ◆ DRYMYBASE10 10% off all basement dehumidifiers. This one is ours, issued to us by the brand. ◆ HOUSE150 $150 off whole-house dehumidifiers over $1,999. Ours, and it expires September 30. ◆ For the one appliance the big sales ignore. Basement, crawlspace and whole-house dehumidifiers, plus restoration-grade air scrubbers. Six-year warranty with the first two years full coverage, free shipping, and the site stacks 10% off orders over $3,000. This is professional restoration equipment, priced accordingly: roughly $400 to $5,000 a unit. Overkill for damp in one closet. We could not find a stated return policy anywhere on the site.

Floor models save you as much as 15% off list. Discontinued or cosmetically damaged units go up to 30% or 40% off. Those are ceilings, not averages. They are new machines with a scratch, not refurbished ones. 7

The long answer

Seven days. That is your return window on a major appliance

GE puts it in writing: free returns on major appliances up to seven days after delivery, against 60 days for small appliances. This is the single biggest difference between buying a fridge and buying almost anything else, and nobody advertises it. A mattress gives you 100 nights. A dishwasher gives you a week, and part of that week goes to installation. Run a full cycle the day it arrives. Check that the door clears the cabinet, that the drain works, that it is level and that it is quiet. Whatever you have not tested by day seven, you own. 1

The model year is the calendar that actually moves prices

Holidays are when retailers advertise. Model changeover is when they need the floor space. Washers, dryers and dishwashers get new models in September and October. Refrigerators arrive in late spring, around May. Ranges and ovens land in January. In each case the outgoing model is the same machine it was a month earlier, minus a feature you probably will not miss, at a price set by a store manager who needs it gone. If your appliance is dying slowly rather than suddenly, aim at the changeover month for that specific category rather than at the next holiday. 6 7

This week is already at Black Friday depth, on some units

The benchmark for appliance discounting is 35.4%, the average top retailers took off on Black Friday in 2024. Set that against what is live right now: 45% off a Samsung refrigerator and 35% off an LG dishwasher at Home Depot, and 30% to 50% off LG top deals. On individual units, Labor Day 2026 is already there. What Black Friday adds is breadth, not necessarily depth, so if the exact machine you want is discounted now, waiting eleven weeks buys you a coin flip rather than a saving. 2 3 7

If you are replacing more than one thing, stop comparing single prices

Bundle mechanics are where the real money is this month and they are invisible if you shop one appliance at a time. Samsung takes an extra $100 off two items, $400 off four, $1,000 off eight or more, on top of sale pricing, provided it is a single transaction. Home Depot adds $250 to $400 per category on a buy-more-save-more basis. GE adds 10% on small appliance bundles of two or more. A kitchen refit that is cheapest appliance-by-appliance is usually not the cheapest overall. 1 2 4

Price protection beats a coupon that does not exist

There is no coupon for a refrigerator, so the nearest equivalent is a policy that pays you back when the price falls after you buy. P.C. Richard will refund 100% of the difference if a competitor advertises the identical new in-stock item cheaper within 30 days of your purchase. That covers exactly the risk this page cannot solve for you, which is that a deeper sale lands the week after you commit. The conditions are strict, though: written advertised price, identical model, in stock. 5

Two financing offers that look the same and are not

Appliance sellers push monthly payments hard, and there are two very different products behind the pitch. A true 0% APR loan, which is what GE advertises through Affirm for up to 24 months, charges nothing if you pay as agreed. A deferred interest plan says "no interest if paid in full" and that "if" is the whole product. The CFPB is blunt about the consequence: "you would owe all of the interest back to the original date of the charge." Being more than 60 days late can also end the promotion early. Ask which of the two you are being handed before you sign. 1 9

When is the best time to buy appliances?

Black Friday and the Fourth of July are the two named as the best of the year. But the changeover month for your category often beats both, and right now Labor Day pricing is running at similar depth on individual units. 2 6 7

Not for the appliance itself. GE has three live codes and all three are for filters, parts and accessories. We found no code for a machine at any seller we could read, and five of the biggest would not let us look. 1

Is scratch-and-dent worth it?

Usually, if the mark ends up against a wall. Our source puts the ceiling at 15% off list for floor models and up to 30% or 40% for cosmetically damaged units. They are new machines, not refurbished. Check the warranty is intact before you agree. 7

How we are paid

On this page we earn almost nothing, and we want to be exact about it rather than modest. We take a commission on De'Longhi and on TheDryAir, and hand part of it back to you. With Home Depot, LG and GE we have no relationship of any kind. Two need a straighter answer than that. P.C. Richard is a programme we joined, but the network that tracks it stopped attributing orders on August 19, 2026, so nobody gets credited and you would earn nothing going through us — we have left it unlinked for that reason. Samsung appears in our records only through its business-display arm, which has nothing to do with a refrigerator. On the five sellers of the appliances this page is actually about, then, we make nothing. That is why the two rows we do get paid on sit at the bottom rather than the top: neither sells a refrigerator, and putting them above sellers who do would have been an advert dressed as advice. Big-ticket sellers first, ranked by what you pay this week; the two specialists last, for the reader who came here wanting an espresso machine or a damp basement fixed instead.

What we don't cover

  • Lowe's, Best Buy, Costco, AJ Madison and Abt. All five blocked us when we tried to read their sale and policy pages, so none of them appears here. For a page about where to buy appliances that is a real gap, not a judgement about them.
  • Home Depot in its own words. Its site blocked us too. Everything in the Home Depot row comes from a dated third-party report and is labelled as such.
  • What other cashback sites pay on appliances. We do not track their rates and cannot tell you whether one beats ours.
  • Credit card reward rates and store card discounts. We have no card database yet, so the card line covers only how the two financing types differ.
  • Delivery, installation, haul-away and permit costs. These are set locally and can add hundreds. Every price on this page is the machine alone.
  • Extended warranties and protection plans. We have not read the terms of a single one, so we say nothing about whether they are worth it.
  • Whether these sale windows and model-year months repeat. Our sources describe what has happened, which is evidence rather than a promise.
  • Whether any of these machines are good. We do not test appliances. Every line here is about price, timing and terms.
